  • What technical communication tools can you use?

    I am proficient using Adobe FrameMaker, Camtasia, Confluence, GitHub, JIRA, Oxygen, SDL Tridion Docs, SharePoint and XMetal.

  • What about UX tools?

    I am also proficient using Adobe Illustrator for logo creation, Adobe XD, Sketch and Figma for wireframes, prototypes and presentations, and Visual Studio Code for HTML and CSS coding. Other tools include InVision, Storyboard That and WordPress.

  • Can you describe your content development strategy?

    I write with brevity, clarity and accuracy in all situations. I also hold empathy and inclusive communication in the highest regard. My approach leans into versatility and flexibility so that I can adapt to any project or organization.

  • Do you prefer in-office or remote work?

    I prefer remote work, and am very comfortable meeting deadlines at flexible times. I have no issue responding to requests after hours on Eastern US time.

  • Why did you decide to get a UX Design certificate?

    I saw UX design as an opportunity to do more creative and engaging content development. I believe that being able to combine my technical documentation skills with my UX design knowledge can prove valuable to any technology organization with a focus on the entire user journey.

  • Can you create a website from scratch?

    My HTML & CSS skills are best served for front end development. If you present me with a vision, I can prototype and deliver a responsive website.

  • Can you write for non-technical audiences?

    Yes, I have SEO content writing experience. In that role I was assigned keywords for different clients, and had to create either 500-word articles or short product descriptions that fit around said keywords while adhering to client and employer-specific guidelines.

  • Do you have a preferred style guide?

    While the AP Stylebook is the first one I was asked to use, I understand that style is subjective and differs from org to org. I’m happy to use my employer’s existing style guide or contribute to the development of a new or revised guide.
